The protest ended on Sunday evening, and authorities reported on Monday that the situation had returned to normal.

Marek Łuszczyński, the mayor of Lubycza Królewska, where the crossing is situated, noted that while the initial assembly permit was valid until April 30th, the farmers had sought an extension. However, he denied their request, citing losses incurred by businesses, customs agencies, and customs warehouses.

"I understand the farmers, but it cannot be that the residents of the municipality continue to suffer from this," he was quoted by state news agency PAP as saying.

The protest organizers retain the option to appeal the mayor's decision to the local district court.

The farmers began their protests on February 9th, blocking roads leading to border crossings with Ukraine in Hrebenne and Dorohusk, and later expanding their demonstrations to Zosin and Dołhobyczów. These protests have gradually ended, with the Zosin blockade concluding on March 21st, Dołhobyczów on April 16th, and Dorohusk on April 22nd.

Currently, no border crossings with Ukraine in Lubelskie Voivodeship are blocked. The farmers' primary demands include abolishing the Green Deal and banning the import of agricultural products from Ukraine.
