The MSBS Grot rifles are to be delivered from this year until 2026.

The deal was signed at the Radom plant on Wednesday.

Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak said: "These figures (...) are minimum figures. We will definitely avail ourselves of an option that will give us the opportunity to buy more MSBS (weapons) for the Polish Army."

Błaszczak added that the MSBS Grot rifles were “among the best weapons in the world.”

Poland’s ruling conservative Law and Justice party has named defence as a priority and has embarked on a military modernisation drive.
