During his university studies, René Zavoral worked as the assistant of a senator, since 1999 as the adviser of the then chairwoman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. In 2001 he started working at Czech Radio as the marketing and PR manager, but left this position to work at the Komerční banka for almost two years in the field of corporate communication. In October 2006 he returned to Czech Radio where he was appointed Marketing and PR Director. From April 2010 René Zavoral held the post of the Communications and External Relations Director.
In 2000 he graduated in political studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University.
On 1st November 2011, Mr. Zavoral was named the Deputy Director General for Strategic Development. On 1st April 2013 he was named the Deputy Director General for Programme and Broadcasting. Since January 21st 2016 René Zavoral holds the post of Czech Radio Director General.
