The body, found in the Golokratna cave, was retrieved by rescuers on Saturday following a challenging operation, as reported by the STA agency.

The unsettling find occurred on Friday evening, with the difficult cave conditions hampering immediate retrieval. It took the coordinated efforts of thirteen mountain rescuers to bring the body to the surface the following day, according to statements from the local cave rescue center.

Notably, the deceased was without any caving or mountaineering equipment, adding to the mystery surrounding the circumstances of his presence in the cave.

Local authorities, led by the commander of the civil defense, have initiated an investigation into the incident. While the deceased was not accompanied by the Polish cave explorers, and no missing persons report had been filed in the area, the police are now tasked with unraveling the circumstances surrounding this discovery.
