The agreement is set to establish a comprehensive framework for military, financial, and political support.

"We are working on a specific text," Zelensky said in a video address. "We are working on setting specific levels of support for this year and for the next ten years. This concerns military, financial, and political support, as well as joint arms production. The agreement should be a model and reflect the strength of American leadership," he stated, as reported by the dpa agency.

This agreement follows a series of security pacts Ukraine has recently signed with nine European countries, including France, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

While Poland does not yet have a similar agreement with Ukraine, Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski indicated in April that advanced work is underway on a Polish-Ukrainian security guarantee agreement, although no signing date has been set.
