Poland's Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) has issued second-degree heat warnings for the western parts of the country, where temperatures may reach up to 36 degrees Celsius on Thursday.

The warnings are for the provinces of Pomorskie, Zachodniopomorskie and Lubuskie, as well as parts of the Wielkopolskie, Dolnośląskie and Kujawsko-Pomorskie regions.

On Wednesday, the temperatures in those areas are expected to remain around 33 degrees Celsius, with about 20 degrees at night, according to the IMGW.
