Since February last year when Russia invaded its neighbour, some 18.5 million people have crossed into Poland from Ukraine.
Meanwhile, nearly 17 million people have left Poland for Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion, including over 26,400 on Saturday.
Poland is currently home to around one million Ukrainians, according to the United Nations' High Commissioner for Refugees, after many who had fled Russia's invasion moved on to other countries or decided to return to Ukraine.
Sixty-two percent of Poles are in favour of accepting refugees from war-torn Ukraine, according to a recent survey.
Sunday is day 620 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
