During the event, President Andrzej Duda awarded individuals who have made significant contributions to the nation with certificates of Polish citizenship.

Moreover, he presented orders to those recognized for their efforts in supporting Polish communities abroad.

"I thank everyone who is here to mark this very important day, this dual celebration - the celebration of our national colors, Flag Day of the Republic, and the Day of Polonia and Poles Abroad. The inseparable bond between them, between the colors of the Republic and Poles all over the world, is fundamental," the President said.

He also thanked members of the Polish diaspora for „educating children, raising successive generations, building economic ties, and fostering connections between professional groups."

During the event, Duda expressed his appreciation to Polish community members for promoting Poland beyond its borders.

"We want to be present economically, in tourism and across various sectors including sports and social engagement. Thank you for always being there to support us wherever we go with our missions, even economic ones," Duda stated.

Earlier in the day, Duda participated in the flag-hoisting ceremony at Warsaw's Royal Castle. He also distributed flags to residents gathered for the occasion.

The President was accompanied at the ceremonies by the First Lady, Agata Kornhauser-Duda.
