Military police said the object was discovered in a field in Choiny, roughly 30 kilometers from Lublin and far from buildings.

The field’s owner reported an unidentified flying object to the police, who later that evening notified the Military Police and dispatched a patrol, spokesman Maj. Damian Stanula said.

Authorities said on X that the Lublin branch of the Military Police would conduct forensic inspections of the object on Thursday.

Further steps will be handled by the Military Prosecutor’s Office.

The find comes more than a week after Poland—backed by NATO jets—shot down Russian drones in its airspace during strikes on Ukraine. Poland said its airspace had been violated 21 times, Russia said it had not targeted Poland.
