Since February 24, 2022, when Russia invaded its neighbor, around 18 million people have crossed into Poland from Ukraine, according to the Polish Border Guard agency.
Meanwhile, slightly over 16 million people have left Poland for Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion, the agency added. On Friday, around 26 thousand people crossed from Poland into Ukraine, it also reported.
Saturday is day 682 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, launching the largest military campaign in Europe since World War II.
