The US Department of State said in a statement that Blinken and Kuleba on Wednesday discussed "the upcoming G20 Foreign Minister meeting in Bali and the outcomes from the G7 and NATO summits, which underscored firm Allied and partner resolve to support Ukraine as it defends its sovereignty and territorial integrity from Russia’s unprovoked aggression."
The statement added that Blinken "condemned Russia’s atrocities in Ukraine and provided updates on multilateral efforts to resolve Russia’s military blockage of agricultural exports from Ukraine’s ports."
He also "discussed U.S. security assistance and previewed further budget support for Ukraine, affirming the United States’ unwavering commitment to Ukraine’s democratic, free, and prosperous future," according to the statement.
To date, the United States has provided USD 2.3 billion in direct budgetary support to Ukraine to ensure that the government in Kyiv can continue operating and responding to critical needs, according to the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
Washington has also allocated more than USD 1 billion in humanitarian aid and committed around USD 6.9 billion in security assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of Russia's invasion on February 24, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
