Polish FM to take part in UNGA session in New York

Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau is to take part in the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

According to a statement published on Poland's Foreign Ministry's website, Rau is to accompany Polish President Andrzej Duda during the session's high level debate, and during the President's bilateral meetings.

During his visit to New York, Rau is also to take part in an EU and NATO foreign ministers meetings.

He is also expected to hold a series of bilateral talks with his counterparts from several countries, the statement said.

The Polish foreign minister is also to participate in a UN Security council meeting to discuss the ongoing war in Ukraine.

The UN General Assembly (UNGA) is the main policy-making organ of the Organization, meeting in regular sessions from September to December each year.
