German car-electronics maker to invest EUR 140 mln in Polish plant

ZF, the German manufacturer of car electronics, plans to invest EUR 140 million in its factory in the southern Polish city of Częstochowa by 2026, the company has said.

Krzysztof Gablankowski, director of ZF’s Częstochowa plant, announced  the German firm planned to double its investment in the factory, which currently totals EUR 140 million, by 2026, the Investmap website reported on Thursday.

Moreover, ZF plans to double the Częstochowa plant’s annual sales, which currently amount to EUR 250 million, according to officials. 

ZF is also expanding the Częstochowa factory, and expects to create 50 new jobs by 2025, Investmap reported.

ZF’s Częstochowa plant produces electronic solutions for the automotive industry, including state-of-the-art cameras, radars and electronic master cylinders, among other equipment, officials said. 

It has a workforce of over 500, Investmap reported.

In all, the ZF Group operates at 7 locations in Poland: Bielsko-Biała, Czechowice-Dziedzice, Częstochowa, Gliwice, Łódź, Warsaw and Wrocław, the company said. 

As of the end of 2022, its workforce in Poland totalled more than 11,000, according to officials.

The ZF Group’s Polish operations include production plants, research and development engineering centres, service centres for IT, Finance, Purchasing and HR, as well as the ZF Aftermarket department, which offers a wide range of products for drivetrain, steering and chassis systems, the German company said.
