Warsaw business conference attracts export-oriented firms

The two-day event is being held at the Polish capital’s National Stadium, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s polskieradio24.pl reported.

The 2023 PAIH Business Forum has attracted 5,000 participants, according to the organisers, the state-run Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki told the conference that Poland was a “safe haven” for companies planning to invest in Central Europe.

He added: “Poland is also an excellent starting point for expansion to the East. Hopefully after the war in Ukraine ends, economic expansion in the East will intensify.”

The PAIH Business Forum is Poland’s biggest event for small and mid-sized enterprises, polskieradio24.pl reported.

This year, the conference is being held for the fourth time, featuring 70 workshops and panel discussions on 11 stages, as well as 4,500 meetings, PAIH said.

The PAIH Business Forum is designed forthe SME sector and its partners - representatives of regions and development institutions,” according to officials. 

The event is intended to assist “entrepreneurs who want to develop, are looking for new solutions and ideas,” and especially for those who are “planning or have already started to expand into foreign markets,” PAIH said.  

Participants will also "get a unique opportunity to meet PAIH experts from over 70 foreign markets, obtain practical knowledge and make business contacts,” the agency added.

“Here you will learn about ready-made solutions and the support tools PAIH offers,” officials said. 

The 2023 PAIH Business Forum is organised under the auspices of Polish President Andrzej Duda.
