Around 30,800 housing units were completed nationwide between the start of January and the end of February, the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said.
It added that the number of housing starts in January and February, at around 36,300 in total, was 79 percent higher than in the same period last year.
Meanwhile, overall output in Poland’s construction-and-assembly sector fell by 4.9 percent in February in year-on-year terms, while increasing by 12.1 percent month on month, the state-run statistics agency also reported.
Builders completed around 220,400 new homes in Poland last year, a decrease of 7.6 percent from 2022, Statistics Poland said earlier this year in a preliminary estimate.
