Around 48,800 housing units were completed nationwide between the start of January and the end of March, the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said.
It added that the number of housing starts in January, February and March, at around 60,100 in total, was 55.8 percent higher than in the same period last year.
Meanwhile, overall output in Poland’s construction-and-assembly sector fell by 13.3 percent in March in year-on-year terms, while increasing by 19.1 percent month on month, the state-run statistics agency also reported this week.
Builders completed around 220,400 new homes in Poland last year, a decrease of 7.6 percent from 2022, Statistics Poland said earlier this year in a preliminary estimate.
