BALANCE Doing business in Ukraine
A conference devoted to the future reconstruction of Ukraine has recently taken place in Warsaw. According to many analysts, the recovery of Ukraine will be the largest economic project currently in Europe that will cost hundreds of billions of dollars and face plenty of challenges. Ukraine wants this to be a speedy process while foreign investors are saying: show me the money.

Rebuilding of damaged infrastructure alone will take years. Once crucial systems and services are functioning, Ukraine and its international partners can make a broader effort to revive the country's economy. At the same time, while Ukraine thinks it is happening at a too slow pace, international investors are waiting for guarantees of public money to join the process.
