Teresa Czerwińska announced the figures in an interview with Poland's wnp.pl website on Wednesday.
She said that "the EIB's financing for the Polish economy will total EUR 4.8-5 billion in 2023."
The EIB's vice-president added that "financing will likely increase in 2024," to complement the unblocking of EU recovery funds earmarked for Poland, which have been withheld due to a dispute between Warsaw and Brussels over the rule of law.
Czerwińska said that the EU bank would make available EUR 175 million for Polish universities and research and development centres in 2024.
In the coming years, EIB loans will increasingly support projects in Poland's growing renewable-energy sector, she added.
Earlier in the week, Czerwińska announced PLN 244 million (EUR 56.2 million) in EIB financing to support the development of the medical department at the Jagiellonian University in the southern Polish city of Kraków, among other EIB loans for Poland.
