The ministry for EU funds and regional policy in Warsaw announced the move on Thursday.

So far, Poland has received the first tranche of the EU post-pandemic recovery funds, worth EUR 5 billion, the government in Warsaw said on December 28.

The minister for EU funds and regional policy, Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, on Thursday told Polish Radio the EU financing available for Poland was "enormous and will affect avery aspect of our lives," provided it is "well invested."

Last week, Pełczyńska-Nałęcz said the EU would unblock all of the recovery funds earmarked for Poland by April.

Deputy minister of finance, Hanna Majszczyk, on Tuesday told parliament that Poland would receive some PLN 77 billion (EUR 17.6 billion) in 2024, Polish Radio's polskieradio24.pl website reported.

Poland is entitled to EUR 59.8 billion from the EU's post-pandemic recovery fund, including EUR 34.5 billion in loans and EUR 25.3 billion in grants, according to officials.
