Digital Affairs Minister Marek Zagórski said on Monday officials had blocked dozens of fraudulent websites and launched a special alert webpage to combat fraudsters.

“No sooner had the coronavirus broken out and begun to pose a threat to Europe that various types of fraud appeared, ranging from miracle cures and antidotes offered online and supposed to fend the coronavirus off, to entire campaigns based on fake text messages and websites. So we have signed agreements with telecoms companies and the Office of Electronic Communications to launch a special website dedicated to alerts,” Zagórski said.
