42.4 percent of Poles did not take a holiday trip in 2022, the survey found, Polish state news agency PAP reported on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, 57.6 percent of the population did go on holiday this year, according to the poll.

Foreign trips, Baltic Sea, Polish lakes

15 percent of those asked took a holiday abroad, an increase from 12.5 percent in 2021. 

Another 13.5 percent of respondents holidayed beside the Polish seaside, a drop from 15.9 percent last year. 

Meanwhile, 10 percent of those asked (the same proportion as in 2021) went to the Polish lakes and a further 6.7 percent travelled to the mountains (compared with 4.4 percent last year).

The survey, conducted by the pollster IBRiS for the private broadcaster Radio Zet, was carried out on August 26-27, 2022, through computer-assisted telephone interviewing on a sample of 1,100 people, the PAP news agency reported.
