Beata Jasek, who has been making such dumplings by hand for the past 15 years, broke the record at the annual Plum Festival in Iwkowa, her hometown in southern Poland.
She produced 1,066 pierogis in one hour.
“Pierogi are my life,” Jasek was quoted as saying by Polish news website Onet.
During the record-breaking attempt, she made one pierogi every 3.4 seconds. The dumplings were then cooked in boiled water and shared with festival-goers.
Pierogi are among Poland’s most popular dishes.
