The 20-year-old Pole, coached by countryman Piotr Sierzputowski, is also number six on the leaderboard for the season-ending eight-player WTA Finals event in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Świątek last week reached the semifinals of the Ostrava Open tennis tournament in the Czech Republic, where she lost 4-6, 5-7 to Greece's Maria Sakkari on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Poland's Magda Linette has climbed five notches to 54th place in the new WTA rankings, which were released on Monday.

Australia's Ashleigh Barty remains world No. 1, followed by Belarusian star Aryna Sabalenka and the Czech Republic's Karolína Plíšková.
