Athletics: Heptathlon silver for Poland in Munich

Poland’s Adrianna Sułek won the silver in the women’s heptathlon at the European Athletics Championships in Munich on Thursday.

The 23-year-old finished runner-up with a total of 6,532 points to claim Poland's seventh medal at the event in Germany.

Belgium's Nafissatou Thiam took the gold on Thursday, with 6,628 points, while the bronze went to Annik Kälin of Switzerland, who scored 6,515 points.

The women’s heptathlon competition consists of the 100m hurdles, high jump, shot put, 200m, long jump, javelin throw, and 800m.

The 2022 European Athletics Championships run in Munich until Sunday.
