The Polish team won 3:2 (23:25, 25:18, 25:20, 21:25, 15:12) after a tie-break in the semi-final thriller, played at Katowice's Spodek arena.
They will face either Italy or Slovenia on Sunday.
The 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championships are being jointly hosted by Poland and Slovenia from August 26 to September 11. Originally, the tournament was due to be held in 10 cities across Russia, but the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) stripped Russia of its right to host the event following Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine.
In 2021, Poland's national volleyball team took the bronze at the Men's European Volleyball Championship.
