The Polish goal machine, who plays for Barcelona and also captains Poland’s national squad, found the back of the net in the 34th and 48th minutes of the game at Barcelona's iconic Camp Nou stadium.

Lewandowski has scored eight goals in the Spanish top flight this season, and is currently leading La Liga's top scorers table.

The 34-year-old was in July officially unveiled as a player for Barcelona after the Spanish giants confirmed they reached an agreement with German champions Bayern Munich for the transfer of the Polish striker.

Top scorer in Europe, FIFA Best Men's Player

Lewandowski was in May named the top scorer in Europe's biggest football leagues last season, with 35 goals for Bayern Munich. The Polish marksman won the annual European Golden Shoe award for the second time in a row, finishing well ahead of the rest of the pack.

The Pole in January won world soccer governing body FIFA’s 2021 Best Men's Player award, beating Argentina’s Lionel Messi and Egypt's Mohamed Salah.
