The picture has been picked as Poland’s candidate for Best International Feature Film at the American Academy Awards.

Komasa tells Klaudiusz Madeja how the whole project started and developed.

The movie, which premiered at this year's Venice Film Festival in August, tells the story of a 20-year-old who, during his time in youth detention, starts to dream about becoming a priest.

After being released he starts working at carpenter’s shop in a small town, where he dresses up as a priest and starts preaching at a local parish.

The movie was highly rated by Italian critics after it was screened as part of the festival’s Venice Days section.

The feature has won numerous awards at home and abroad, including at the recent Polish Film Festival.
