‘Return of Tamara’ at Studio Theatre in Warsaw

“Tamara" was one of the most memorable theatrical productions in Poland, staged in 1990 by the Studio Theatre in Warsaw.

The play by John Krizanc, based on the historical meeting of Gabriele d'Annunzio and painter Tamara de Lempicka, became an introduction to postmodernity in Polish theatre.

Now, the Studio Theatre opens a new season with the internationally-renowned director Cezary Tomaszewski presenting "Return of Tamara", as he goes back to the message that underlies all the glitter, and which speaks of the rise of fascism.  

Elżbieta Krajewska talked about the play to Cezary Tomaszewski
