The four-month tour starts on Tuesday in the southern Polish city of Katowice, where Liu will play Chopin’s Concerto in E minor with Polish Radio’s National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Victorien Vanoosten.

Before Liu’s headline recital, fellow Chopin competition finalist, Eva Gevorgyan, who represented Russia and Armenia at the Warsaw event, will perform some of the genius composer’s solo works.

Later in the tour, Liu will perform with the Wrocław Philharmonic Orchestra in southwestern Poland on Friday and the Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra in western Poland on Saturday.

In all, Liu will give 16 recitals in Europe, Asia and the Americas, including Japan, South Korea, Israel, Belgium, Argentina, Brazil and Canada, before he completes his tour in late February, the PAP news agency reported.

The concert tour will end with a stop at the Luxembourg Philharmonic on February 28.
