The festival will open on 20 March in Lille, France, and run for eight days, featuring masterclasses, panel discussions and world premieres from major platforms including Disney, Netflix, HBO and Apple TV+.
Among the 51 titles announced are two Polish productions – the upcoming HBO series Love is Enough and Variola Vera (Czarna Śmierć), a recent hit on TVP1, Poland’s main public television channel.
Love is Enough, set to compete in the International Competition, follows Filip, a young, self-centred gay man whose life changes after a family tragedy.
The lead role is played by 28-year-old Ignacy Liss.
Variola Vera (Czarna Śmierć), which drew more than 1.5 million viewers on television and recently received a Polish Eagle Award nomination for Best Drama Series, will compete in the International Panorama section.
The seven-episode show is based on the 1963 smallpox outbreak in Wrocław, southwestern Poland, and is directed by Kuba Czekaj.
The Series Mania festival runs from March 20 to 27.
