The annual event, which takes its name from Nobel Prize-winning Polish-Jewish writer Isaac Bashevis Singer, sees a more than weeklong feast of music concerts, film screenings, exhibitions, lectures and discussions.
Because of Poland's coronavirus restrictions, this year, the biggest Festival events will also be broadcast online. The number of people at any given show has been reduced to comply with the current rules on social gatherings.
Due to travel restrictions, performances by cantors Yaakov Lemmer from the United States and Nachman Turgeman from Israel will be digital-only events.
The list of this year's performers includes Yoni Rose from Germany, Francesco Bruno from Italy, l in addition to Polish-Ukrainian violinist Vadim Brodski.
The festival is held in various venues around the Polish capital every year, but primarily in a part of the city that was once the hub of Warsaw's Jewish community.
This year's event opens on Saturday and runs until August 30 to offer a wealth of opportunities to explore and celebrate Jewish culture and tradition.
The detailed programme of this year's edition is available at the Shalom Foundation website.
