The milestone coincides with the 100th anniversary of public broadcaster Polish Radio.

A centerpiece of the day’s programming will be a “live radio happening” scheduled from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., when the show Zapraszamy do Trójki will be staged in a format meant to resemble a broadcast from a century ago.

The program will recreate a time when Polish Radio had only a studio and a microphone, with all jingles and musical elements performed live.

The station will also air episodes of the once-popular radio drama Kocham pana, panie Sułku, alongside the launch of a YouTube channel, Powtórka z rozrywki, named after the former hit series.

Episodes of the show, created by Jacek Janczarski and performed by Marta Lipińska and Krzysztof Kowalewski, will be posted there weekly.

The celebrations will conclude with a birthday concert, Ustawiony Konkurs Piosenki vol. 2, the second edition of a format launched a year earlier.

As last year, the evening will be hosted by fan favorite Artur Andrus.

Performers at the concert, held at Polish Radio’s Agnieszka Osiecka Music Studio, will include Andrzej Dąbrowski, Kasia Stankiewicz, Reni Jusi and the band Metro.

The concert will be broadcast on Polish Radio 3 and streamed on the station’s website and YouTube channel.
