Noble Gift Solidarity is a new initiative by the Wiosna (Spring) Association to support needy refugee families.

An offshoot of the greatly popular nationwide Christmas campaign, when donors assemble packages for families from a database prepared by the Association, the new campaign addressed at refugees is to be based on the same principles. The goal of the Christmas collection is not raising funds, but to prepare gift parcels for people and families under the charity's care.

As the Association's Karolina Magryś told Polish Radio Rzeszów, volunteers are to start compiling a list of addressees, and there will also be a possibility to submit information on those needing support via a questionnaire on the charity's webpage.

The Noble Gift packages contain basic necessities such as food, cleaning products or clothes, but also things that the recipients cannot afford, from a wishlist supplied to the Association volunteers.

Since 2001 when the project was first initiated, Noble Gift packages have been distributed over one weekend in early December, known as "Weekend of Miracles". Every year the campaign is joined by outstanding figures from the worlds of politics, culture, arts and sports.

The database of needy refugee families is to be ready in early June, with a "Weekend of Miracles" when the prepared packages are delivered, scheduled for the end of the same month.
