Nearly 40,000 Russian troops killed in Ukraine: report
Around 39,870 Russian troops have been killed in Ukraine since Vladimir Putin invaded the country in late February, according to Ukrainian military authorities.

The Russians have also lost 1,737 tanks, 3,959 armored fighting vehicles, and 880 artillery systems, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Tuesday, as cited by the ukrinform.net website.
Other Russian losses in Ukraine include 258 multiple launch rocket systems, 117 anti-aircraft warfare systems, 222 warplanes, 189 helicopters, 15 warships, and 722 unmanned aerial vehicles, ukrinform.net reported.
Tuesday is day 153 of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
