The attack on the village of Kamianske was carried out with Grad missiles, Polish state news agency PAP reported.

The regional military administration said in a post on Telegram: "Today, the enemy launched a cynical attack on a residential building in Vasylivka district. A Russian Grad MLRS took the lives of three people in Kamyanske. Two more were injured. They receive assistance," as quoted by the Ukrinform news agency.

Officials warned residents to leave danger areas, Britain’s The Guardian newspaper reported.

In the last 24 hours, there have been 10 reports of Russian shelling of residential homes and infrastructure, according to Ukrinform.

Zaporizhzhia is one of the four Ukrainian regions Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed to have annexed after sham referendums in September 2022, The Kyiv Independent noted.

An estimated 60% of the province’s territory is under Russian occupation, and villages close to the front have been shelled constantly since March 2022, according to the website.

Also on Sunday, Russian forces struck the village of Bilozerka in Ukraine’s southern Kherson province, injuring a woman, the Ukrainska Pravda website reported.

“Russian artillery shelled Bilozerka in the afternoon. Enemy forces deliberately attacked a residential building,” the regional military administration said on Telegram.

It added: “A woman was rescued from under the rubble of her own home. An ambulance took the woman to a hospital."

The Kherson region has been the target of continuous Russian shelling since the areas on the west bank of the Dnipro River were liberated by Ukrainian troops in November 2022, according to The Kyiv Independent.

Russian forces were pushed to Dnipro’s east bank, from where they had been firing at the liberated territories, the website added.

Sunday is day 389 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
