Russian military death toll in Ukraine rises to 177,110: report

Around 177,110 Russian troops have been killed in Ukraine since Vladimir Putin invaded the country in February last year, according to Ukrainian military authorities.

The Russians have also lost 3,633 tanks, 7,016 armoured combat vehicles and 2,722 artillery systems during their military campaign in Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Friday, as cited by state news agency Ukrinform.

On Thursday alone, Ukrainian forces "eliminated" 480 Russian soldiers, according to the ukrinform.net website.

Other Russian losses in Ukraine include 533 multiple launch rocket systems, 281 air defence systems, 306 warplanes, 292 helicopters, 18 warships, and 2,291 unmanned aerial vehicles, ukrinform.net reported.

Friday is day 408 of Russia’s war in Ukraine.
