By the morning of February 6, 2024, at least 1,740 children had been killed or injured in Ukraine as a result of Russia's full-scale armed aggression, the Ukrainian Prosecutor-General’s Office said in a statement, as quoted by state news agency Ukrinform.

The statement added that these figures were not final "as authorities are verifying reports coming from hostility zones, temporarily occupied and liberated territories," according to the ukrinform.net website.

On Tuesday, a two-month-old infant was killed as a result of a Russian strike on Zolochiv near the northeastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, Ukrinform reported.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, starting the largest armed conflict in Europe since World War II.

Tuesday is day 713 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
