“Security in the region of the Black Sea, and the world largely depends on cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey,” said President Volodymyr Zelensky in his evening video speech, emphasizing that the Ukrainian authorities are “using every opportunity to intensify international cooperation so that this year will start bringing results from the first weeks."

According to the Ukrainian president, Kyiv and Ankara have worked together on a range of projects, many of which have so far proven successful, Polish state news agency PAP reported. He went on to say that this year both countries must do even more to strengthen their states and nations. “Food security in our region and in the world largely depends on Ukrainian-Turkish cooperation.

"I am grateful to President Erdogan and all of Turkey for supporting our work on the maritime export corridor from Ukraine," he added. Since its establishment, over 14 million tons of products have been transported along it.

Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned that Ukraine has a collaborative partnership with Turkey in the field of defense.

Saturday is day 682 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
