The debate will be broadcast live at 8 p.m. local time on public channel TVP1, TVP Info, other major Polish news networks, and streamed on YouTube.
TVP announced on social media that all campaign teams have signed a protocol confirming the speaking order, resolving lingering disputes over the debate’s format.
The event will take place at TVP’s studio on Woronicza Street in Warsaw, with moderators from Poland’s three leading broadcasters: Dorota Wysocka-Schnepf (TVP), Radomir Wit (TVN), and Piotr Witwicki (Polsat News).
The debate will cover domestic and foreign policy issues, with questions posed by journalists and through a direct candidate-to-candidate round. Each participant will be given 90 seconds for an open statement, while the use of phones and other devices on stage will be strictly prohibited.
TVP Info confirmed that the debate’s structure, which had been a point of contention, was unanimously accepted by all campaign teams, ending a prolonged deadlock in the final days of the campaign.
Poland’s first round of presidential elections will take place on May 18, 2025. If no candidate secures more than 50% of the vote, the two leading contenders will face each other in a runoff scheduled for Sunday, June 1.
