Sławomir Broniarz, head of the Polish Teachers’ Union (ZNP), said every school and teacher would make an individual decision about whether to take part.
He added that the protest aimed to secure basic employee rights, and what he described as the dignity and prestige of the teaching profession.
Poland’s education minister last month promised that teachers' salaries would increase by 6 percent next year, on top of a pay raise in three stages since April 2018.
Earlier this year, thousands of schools across Poland cancelled classes after teachers on April 8 went on a nationwide strike of unlimited duration to demand hefty pay raises.
The protest began just before end-of-school exams at various levels of education.
The Polish Teachers’ Union announced later that month it was suspending, but not ending, the pay strike amid a rumbling dispute with the government.
