Poland’s new Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, was sworn into office on Friday during a ceremony at the presidential palace in Warsaw following parliamentary elections last month.

Morawiecki has led Poland’s conservative government since December 11, 2017.

His broad-ranging policy speech scheduled for Tuesday is set to focus on the economy, climate and demography, while taking into account an economic slowdown on the horizon, Michał Dworczyk, the head of the Prime Minister's Office, has told public broadcaster Polish Radio.

According to Dworczyk, Morawiecki was expected to present a “vision of Poland’s development and its place in Europe and the world.”

Morawiecki said last week that his new government would largely be a continuation of the previous one.

The conservative Law and Justice party, allied with two smaller groupings in a United Right coalition, secured a second term in power after winning Poland's October 13 parliamentary elections.

Law and Justice leader Jarosław Kaczyński said ahead of the elections that his party would bring in a raft of new policies during the first 100 days of its next term in government.
