Polish Radio hands out business awards

Public broadcaster Polish Radio has handed out its annual awards to outstanding domestic businesses whose goods and services help boost the country’s reputation abroad.

The awards were presented on Thursday night in five categories: Best Polish Ecological Product, Best Polish Service, Best Polish Export, Top Innovative Product, and Top Polish Brand.

The awards went to fuel giant PKN Orlen, rail carrier PKP, candy maker Pszczółka, aerospace technology firm SatRevolution, whose credits include Poland's first commercial satellite, and Biotrem, a producer of biodegradable tableware and cutlery, Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.

Polish Radio’s annual "Loving Polish" Awards aim to promote top-notch domestic goods and services, and to support companies contributing to the growth of the economy.

Polish Radio CEO Andrzej Rogoyski said that companies singled out for praise by the broadcaster every year stand for quality and help raise Poland’s profile abroad.
