More warnings of unsettled weather in Poland

 Second-degree alerts of thunderstorms and intensive rains have been issued by the Meteorological Office for southern regions, with winds reaching 100km/h and rainfall of up to 80mm in places.

 Poland's Fire Service has informed that it carried out a total of 926 interventions after the storms which coursed through Poland on Friday night and in the early hours of Saturday. Most incidents were reported in the central region of Mazovia, also Łódź and Greater Poland. Mainly interventions concerned broken trees and branches, and floodings.

 One of the most serious incidents was reported from the seaside village of Ustronie Morskie (Western Pomerania), where a freak whirlwind devastated a caravan site, completely destroying 8. Of the 14 people holidaying in the caravans, 6 (5 adults and a child) were taken to hospital with injuries.
