The concert opens with The September Symphony by Polish composer Wojciech Kilar. Written in 2003, the work was Kilar’s personal tribute to the American people. Described by a Polish critic as “a musical tale to lift the hearts”, the symphony contains references to Gospel music, as well as American hymns and patriotic songs, including  Samuel A. Ward’s ''America the Beautiful''.

The programme of the concert also includes Antonín Dvořák’s Ninth Symphony ‘From the New World’, which was written by Dvořák during his tenure as the director of the National Conservatory of Music of America in the last decade of the 19th century and premiered in New York City in 1893.

The Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw will be conducted by Michał Klauza, its Music Director since 2015
