Polish president to attend defence conference in London

Poland's president is expected to attend an international defence conference and discuss Russia's war against Ukraine during a two-day visit to London.

While in the British capital on Tuesday and Wednesday, Andrzej Duda will hold talks focusing on Russia's war in Ukraine, an upcoming NATO summit and efforts to counter Russian disinformationaccording to the Polish president's foreign policy adviser, Marcin Przydacz.

On Tuesday afternoon, Duda is scheduled to address the opening session of the London Defence Conference, an annual geopolitical and security gathering of policymakers, academic experts, industry and media.

Later in the day, the president will meet with members of Britain's Polish community at the Polish Social and Cultural Centre (POSK) in London, according to Przydacz.

On Wednesday, the second day of his visit, Duda will meet with Almar Latour, COE of Dow Jones and publisher of The Wall Street Journal.

He will also take part in The Wall Street Journal's CEO Council Summit, with plans to encourage investment in Poland and across Central and Eastern Europe, according to his office.
