Schoolchildren and teachers across the country and beyond sing Dąbrowski's Mazurka every year at 11:11 a.m. on November 10.

The event is part of the lead-up to Poland's Independence Day on November 11, state news agency PAP reported.

This year, a total of 3,882,403 school students and 581,574 teachers joined the collective performance of Poland's national anthem on Friday, November 10, the PAP news agency reported.

They represented 19,841 schools in Poland and abroad, public broadcaster Polish Radio's IAR news agency reported.

The initiative offers an opportunity for schoolchildren to learn about Dąbrowski's Mazurka and why it is Poland's national song, as well as about the Independence Day celebration, officials said.
