Late last night, a bus carrying 26 people crashed into barriers near the village of Dawidy, while a truck collided with a stationary vehicle from the local fire department (OSP Dawidy).
According to Jacek Dobrzyński, spokesperson for the Ministry of the Interior, 16 people, including one child, were hospitalized.
He confirmed that the incident unfolded when a bus carrying around 26 passengers crashed into barriers. Shortly after, a truck collided with the stationary vehicle of the OSP Dawidy. The situation has since been brought under control.
A total of 16 people, including one child, were taken to the hospital - 12 passengers from the bus, one truck driver, one OSP driver, and one JRG rescuer. Eighteen fire units, including medical and technical rescue teams, responded to the scene.
Emergency services were on the scene, with 18 fire units, including medical and technical rescue teams, responding to the incident.
Police reported that the S2 road from Przyczółkowa Street to the S79 exit remains completely blocked, with authorities managing traffic and directing drivers onto detours.
