“Daily physical activity is a mandatory part of an astronaut’s routine aboard the International Space Station (ISS). It’s a physiological necessity - without it, returning to Earth in good shape wouldn’t be possible,” said the space explorer, who comes from Łódź in central Poland.

Workout aboard the ISS

“The absence of gravity is a real challenge for the human body - the muscular and skeletal systems weaken quickly. That’s why I make sure to keep up with my daily workouts,” Uznański-Wiśniewski explained.

“I use resistance devices and a machine designed for weight-bearing exercises,” he added.
