The "Speed" operation runs from August 4 to 10, with mass roadside checks and stricter enforcement.
Unmarked police vehicles will also be hunting for rule breakers.
Police have urged motorists to slow down when approaching pedestrian crossings, bicycle paths and intersections.
Officers say the main cause of fatal road accidents caused by drivers in Poland is motorists failing to adapt their speed to traffic conditions.
Excessive speed was the leading cause of 4,269 road accidents in the country last year, resulting in 638 deaths and over 5,100 injuries, according to police data.
The campaign is part of the Roadpol initiative—a network of traffic police forces from 31 European countries—aimed at improving road safety and cutting the number of casualties on European roads.
Drivers caught exceeding speed limits face steep penalties in Poland. Fines can reach up to PLN 5,000 (EUR 1,170, USD 1,355), and drivers may also receive penalty points.
Exceeding the speed limit by 70 kph or more results in the maximum penalty of 15 points.
Speeding is not the only behaviour under scrutiny. Roadpol is planning two more operations in 2025, including one focused on distracted driving, particularly the use of mobile phones behind the wheel.
