The two focused on Polish-US security and energy cooperation as well as "joint action for a lasting and just end to the war in Ukraine," according to a ministry statement.
The US military presence on NATO’s eastern flank, including in Poland, was "a topic of special interest," the statement said.
Rubio said Poland would be involved in efforts to provide Ukraine with future security guarantees, according to the Polish foreign ministry.
He added that Washington seeks to ensure a lasting peace in Ukraine.
Later in the day, Sikorski and Rubio attended a ceremony to award Poland’s Lech Wałęsa Solidarity Prize to Cuban dissident Berta Soler Fernandez.
During the event, Rubio praised Poland as "an extraordinary US ally in the cause of liberty."
He said: "Your government in Poland has been an extraordinary ally in the cause of liberty and freedom. There are other countries that were liberated from the yoke of tyranny and can be helpful from time to time, but there is none in the world that’s been more helpful, more steadfast, and more aligned with us, including in Cuba, than the government of Poland."
The Lech Wałęsa Solidarity Prize honours achievements in promoting democracy and civil liberties.
During their meeting in Miami on Tuesday, Sikorski presented Rubio with a historic Solidarity poster signed by former Polish President Lech Wałęsa.
